Like Malala Yousafzai, many girl activists in the developing world are working for social change—campaigning to reduce illiteracy, sexual harassment or teenage pregnancy. 
The Guardian asked 12 girls under the age of 20 what they are fighting for and why. Menuka Gurung of Nepal says, “If we want equality then we need to involve boys as well as girls in advocacy.”
