UN Women, The Loomba Foundation, and the Swiss National Committee have teamed up to support 500 widows in two towns in India fight social stigma and redefine widowhood. By collecting data, breaking social taboos, providing livelihood opportunities, and improving access to national pensions, this program is making way for these women to change their situation and their culture for better treatment.
